Your investment will:
- Help a refugee get their first job in the United States
- Help a new American become a citizen.
- Help a teacher support the immigrant students in her fourth grade classroom.
- Do so much more. To see some of the lives you touch, visit The ILC Students page.
More Ways to Give:
Host your own event to get your community involved in raising funds for The Immigrant Learning Center. It doesn’t have to be complicated. Ask friends to donate in honor of your birthday or other celebration, participate in a race or host a one-day donation drive to give immigrants a voice. For an easy way to set up an online fundraiser, click here.
If you have a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) at Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable or BNY Mellon, please consider recommending a grant to The ILC.
1. Select the sponsoring organization from the “Donate now from” menu.
2. Enter the dollar amount.
3. Click the “NEXT” button to proceed to your DAF provider website to process your request.
You can also direct your DAF sponsoring organization to issue a check payable to The ILC.
IRA Rollover Gifts:
American taxpayers ages 70.5 and older may donate up to $100,000 from their IRAs each year without having to treat the withdrawals as taxable income.
Honorary / Memorial Gifts:
Commemorate a milestone or a special occasion, or honor someone’s memory with a truly meaningful gift. Tell us about your honoree when you send your gift, or use the special purpose option when you give online.
Non-Cash Financial Gifts:
Donate stock, assign The ILC as a beneficiary on insurance policies or investment instruments, remember The ILC in your will, etc.
Matching gifts show that your company cares about causes that are important to you and fellow employees. Your employer will enjoy tax benefits, and together you will be helping to improve lives. Contact your Human Resources Office for donation matching information. If your company does not currently match employee donations, consider asking them to do so.
This type of charitable donation can be made by individuals or organizations. These kinds of donations can include office supplies, silent auction items, professional services and more.
There are many event and program sponsorship opportunities available for businesses that want to support our mission.
Attend or Sponsor an Event:
The Immigrant Learning Center hosts two fundraising events each year: the Annual Golf Classic in the spring and the Barry M. Portnoy Immigrant Entrepreneur Awards in the fall.
Every dollar gifted to The Immigrant Learning Center helps to give immigrants a voice. Our Cornerstone Supporters give us a stable foundation to build on with commitments of $50,000 or more.
