The Immigrant Learning Center has created a N-400 study guide to help people who are applying for citizenship. Everyone who applies for citizenship must fill out the N-400 form. They will be asked questions about the N-400 in their citizenship interview. The study guide explains what each question means and has answers that the applicant can use. In the citizenship interview, the interviewer might ask what words in the N-400 form mean. The study guide includes definitions for words that English learners might not know. Click on the button below to download the study guide.
The Immigrant Learning Center has also created videos to help people with the N-400 form. Each video focuses on a different topic that applicants may have trouble with. The videos are available below.
If you want to take an online class to learn how to apply for citizenship and pass your citizenship interview and exam, you can sign up here. If you want to prepare to take the citizenship civics exam, videos are available here and a study table is available here. If you want to search all available citizenship resources, they are available here.
This study guide will help you understand the questions in part 12 of the application form.
- The column on the left has the official N-400 question as it appears on the N-400 form.
- The column on the right repeats the question in simple English (highlighted in yellow) or gives examples of possible answers.
This study guide will help you understand the questions in part 12 of the application form.
