Navigating the educational system can be challenging for any student, but immigrant students with disabilities and their families face a unique set of hurdles. This webinar will offer valuable insights and strategies for educators and administrators to provide tailored support to help these students thrive academically and socially. Join us to explore the systemic obstacles immigrant students, and especially multilingual learners, with special needs face and learn how to create a nurturing educational environment on Tuesday, October 29 from 4:00-5:30 PM ET.

During this webinar, you’ll learn how to:

  • Understand and advocate for the educational rights of students with disabilities
  • Create inclusive learning spaces for multilingual students
  • Identify community and educational supports for immigrant students with disabilities and their families

This webinar is free of charge, but you must register to participate. It is designed for K-12 educators, administrators and anyone interested in supporting immigrant youth.

Massachusetts K-12 educators: The Immigrant Learning Center is a registered Professional Development Provider by the State of Massachusetts. We are able to offer 15 Professional Development Points (PDPs) in the English Language Learners and Safe & Supportive Learning Environments content areas to anyone who completes the requisite amount of training with us and certificates of completion for those who attend any individual trainings.
