About New Biz Malden
New Biz Malden is part of a joint effort with The Immigrant Learning Center, the MassHire Metro North Workforce Board and the city of Malden to support newcomers to the United States in their career journeys.
Ten students will be selected for this cohort, which includes 11 classes, one-on-one mentorship from local business owners, a full computer setup and a $500 stipend to help start their business.
- Dates: April 8, 2026 – June 24, 2026 (11 weeks) on Wednesdays (except April 22)
- Time: 6:00-8:30 PM
- Location: The Immigrant Learning Center, 442 Main Street, Malden, MA 02148
Want to Be a Mentor?
We are looking for local small business owners to be mentors for the program’s students! This opportunity is great for entrepreneurs who want to give back and strengthen the small business ecosystem in Malden. Share your expertise and help these aspiring immigrant entrepreneurs develop their own business plan.
- Time: Up to 1 hour per week
- Dates: April 8, 2026 – June 24, 2026
- You will receive: $500 stipend
