Meet Our Students

GedeusThe ILC Chorus consists of ILC students and is led by ILC teacher, Jeantilus Gedeus. Gedeus is a native of Haiti and has been a teacher at The ILC for four years. He teaches music lessons privately, and shared his passion for music with The ILC in 2011 with the launch of The ILC Chorus. The ILC is proud to have Gedeus and the chorus perform this evening.

The featured speakers for the evening are former students Nezha Raki and Khalid Ouahid. This couple came to America from Morocco seeking freedom, economic opportunity and the ability to meet people from around the world. Nezha and Khalid express their gratitude for helping them learn English and achieve their goals and dreams.

As a special treat for our guests, Minghuang Zhang, an ILC student from China, will be offering portraits sketched during the reception. He made a name for himself by drawing a giant mural (300 square meters) for the Sri Lanka Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai World EXPO. He considers drawing to be the most important part of his life. Minghuang sketches his lifelike portraits incredibly quickly. The video clip below shows him offering portraits in Harvard Square.
